The Sager Conservation Area

The Sager Conservation Area is part of an ice-age feature known as Oak Lake Island: a series of large drumlins that formed an island in glacial Lake Iroquois.

The drumlin in the conservation area is one of the highest landmarks in the region and offers an excellent view of the surrounding countryside, including part of the Trent River Valley.

A short one-kilometre trail starts at the base of the hill and rises steeply to the 30-foot-tall lookout tower, providing a spectacular and panoramic view of the area.

Picnic areas are also provided.
